CREATIVE STUDIES

"You can't depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus"
   (Mark Twain)

Creativity manifests everywhere whether arts or sciences,creative people exist generating new ideas.

Creativity is a process of developing original ideas that have value...
Being creative involves innovation,invention and a degree of novelty.

 Innovation
Innovation involves a revolution of an existing product in terms of the way it is seen or used in new way that had not been thought of.Innovation involves an economic replication of an idea.

Invention
An invention or the process of invention refers to the creation of an entirely new product that was either conceived or derived from an existing idea.
Alexander Graham Bell invented the first practical telephone

 Novelty
Is the abilty of something to have a striking,unusual and new feel...never seen before.

(i found this little boy running about imagining what seemed to be
him fighting aliens,unfortunately he stopped to pose just as i was going to take his picture)
I admire a child's imagination.A simple block of wood could become a jet fighter aeroplane in a little boys mind,and i guess it's because of this child like imagination that grown ups are often forced to re-explore or re-live their childhood inorder to gain creativity.

(The Jabbawockeez winners of "Americas Best Dance Crew season 1"  incorporated
masks into there dance routine which had never before been seen)
A creative mind sees something out of nothing and has  an ability to create what has never before been seen or thought of. Sadly In the world today the number of creative people has drastically decreased and in my opinion i would lay the blame on education.

The education system of today has made and  fashioned a lifestyle in which people measure someones intelligence and worth through the grades they are able to acheive, and therefore this makes people who should have been working more on their creativity gear their lives in the direction that seems fit to the general society.

Pablo Picasso once said;

  "All children a born artists,the problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up "

Using these words as a reference it is evident that the journey that we take through life as we grow up affects our creativity. It is so easy to lose track of your personal creativity since you are constantly being discouraged about what exactly is acceptable and what may not be. Take for example Learnado da Vinci a great artist and inventor was called mad during his time for his ideas and inventions and his creativity was challenged.

 "Being creative requires great faith and determination"

Two kinds of Creativity

There are two existing types of creativity;

Creativity with a capital 'C' is aimed at affecting a change in society and therefore needs to be understandable and accepted by the public.This kind of creativity is not common and is usually backed by a great deal of "good luck" unlike creativity with a small 'c' that serves personal satisfaction and fullfilment, a good example is solving problems in everyday life,this shows that everyone at some point makes use of small 'c'  creativity.
